After the parish of Bistra was divided into two parts, this joint procession of the parish of Bistra and the newly formed parish of Ivanec-Jablanovec proves that this is an artificial division. Thank God there are still reasonable people in spite of everything.
Those seniors who regularly go to Marija Bistrica know how many people from the Bistra region have come "to Bistrica" ??in the past decades and much less in the last 20 years. It is unfortunate that some do not see where the separation is leading us.
Examples are KUDs from our region. KUD Bistra was strong in membership. We admired KUD Jablanovec from 2006 to 2016 because they also had a wonderful children's group until 2014 and then only three children came to the rehearsal and the little ones were shut down. In recent years, KUDs have had problems with membership.
The time will soon come when we will have to put "heads together" again, as Stjepan Radic said in Poljanica back in 1928. He was a visionary. Sorry for this little digression as it is not the topic of our website. I hope that the young generations will understand how the slogan "divide and rule" is disastrous for the people of this region and its traditions.
